The Course
The par 72-championship golf course measures 7125 yards/6412 meters
and offers four sets of tees to challenge every skill level. Fifteen
holes view the Pacific Ocean, six of which are played alongside cliffs
which plunge to the sea. The beautiful inland holes wind through marsh,
forest and farmland. Allow 4 - 4½ hours to complete 18 holes
with carts. Soft, sprig shoes only on golf course.
The golf complex includes a world-class practice range, putting and
chipping greens; a well stocked golf shop, and ladies and men’s
locker rooms. Callaway ladies and men’s rental clubs are available.
The Flight
Departing from Mechanics Bay Heliport downtown Auckland, your pilot
will fly the coastal route to Matauri Bay, home of The Lodge and Golf
Course at Kauri Cliffs. The coastal route takes in Omaha Beach, Pakiri,
Mangawhai Heads, Bream Bay, Tutukaka, and the Bay of Islands. The
return flight home takes the direct inland route. Flight time one
way is approx 1 hour.
Lunch
A sandwich menu - Ordered at pro shop prior to tee off. It
is then delivered to you on the course.
A formal three-course
lunch - is available in the Lodge dining room from 12:00 –
2:30pm
19th Tee menu - is available from 2:30pm
and includes croissants, cakes, muffins, club sandwiches, bagels and
a selection of home made cookies.

The Weather
For safety reasons we are not able to fly in very low visibility conditions.
Mist, fog, and widespread rain can cause low visibility. Some light
drizzle or occasional showers are generally not a problem, and strong
winds are more a passenger comfort not safety issue.
As far as course conditions go, your experience and ability will determine
your decision to depart on the day. Kauri Cliffs can be a challenging
course in strong winds, feel free to contact the Pro Shop
